Walking & Cycling

The Old Chapel is located close to the St Michael's Way footpath. This stretches from Lelant on the north coast to Marazion on the south coast. It includes a mixture of coastal and countryside walking with some lovely views of both coasts from the top of Trencrom Hill.

There is also easy access to the Penwith section of the South West Coast Path. This includes some strenuous sections between St Ives and Lands End, and easy but picturesque sections such as that around Mounts Bay and Penzance.

The I walk Cornwall website and app are very helpful for planning walks and avoiding getting lost.  Lots of useful information about parking, eating options etc. is included as well as interesting historical details.

The Mineral tramways are located in the Camborne-Redruth areas and stretch from Portreath on the North Coast to Devoran on the South Coast. They are a number of mostly off road trails through areas of historical interest relating to the mining industry, and are suitable for walkers, trail biking and horse riding.

Bikes can be hired from Bissoe Bike Hire which is located on the coast to coast trail between Portreath and Devoran.
