Local Area Information

The Old Chapel is located in the village of Halsetown. It takes approximately 25 minutes to walk down to St Ives along footpaths and a quiet lane. There are also regular bus services to and from St Ives.

St Ives  is a popular harbour town famous for its beautiful sandy beaches, quaint narrow streets, art galleries and cafes. The coastline around St Ives and Penwith has been made famous by various works of fiction including Poldark and the works of Rosamunde Pilcher.

The Old Chapel is located a couple of minutes walk away from the Polmanter Touring Park, and our guests are able to use the facilities at Polmanter. These vary with the season, and during the peak summer months include a heated outdoor swimming pool. There is also a bar/restaurant on the Polmanter site, as well as a small shop and a children's play area.

Within Halsetown itself there is our local pub- The Halsetown Inn.

There is a small convenience store about 1 mile away and a range of large supermarkets are located between 2 and 6 miles away.

There is easy access to the A30 for visits to other popular attractions such as Penzance, St Michael's Mount, Porthcurno, Land's End, Truro, Newquay etc.
